The Autumn COVID-19 booster and flu jab vaccination roll-out is a sign that winter is on the way. Vaccinations are a tried and tested method of keeping your patients and loved ones safe, and helping to reduce the risk of illness over the winter months in particular.
Two years ago following the first COVID-19 vaccine approval, vulnerable residents and frontline care and health workers were correctly the first group to be offered the jab. This was a thoughtful and caring way to keep eachother safe.
The booster this winter is now also being co-administered alongside the flu vaccine, which is a great way to protect against both. Appointments can be booked online here through the national service. More information and online guidance can be found here, if you have any questions or anxieties about receiving your booster vaccine.
